How often do you really take time to enjoy life? Most of the time – my head is swimming with the never ending to-do lists I have for both personal and business life. I don’t think I am alone in that, either. We are such a task-oriented society that it becomes difficult to enjoy life. I scroll through social media and see a list of tasks and stress and general busyness.
On one hand – busy is good. We have jobs, families, friends, and a long list of other responsibilities. This week alone, my husband has an obligation for his job every night. It adds up and takes a toll on our health, our sanity, and our overall strength. There is a reason that I started to get sick in the middle of my sister’s big move – the more you stay on the move without taking a rest, the more likely you are to get sick or burn out.
Not this week though! I’ve been pulling extra long days to get caught up, so I decided I would take time to celebrate the bright side of life this week. On Tuesday, my husband and I had an impromptu date night to celebrate The Love Nerds reaching 10K on Facebook! Even though I had food for dinner and we hadn’t budgeted for going out, it was nice to take a break and treat ourselves.
Then, this afternoon, I was feeling so overly tired. I had so many thoughts running through my head that I couldn’t really focus on one. That is when I grabbed a Fruttare Strawberry and Milk Frozen Fruit Bar from the freezer and went outside for 20 minutes enjoy a gorgeous day and a yummy treat. I love the Fruttare Fruit and Milk Bar line because they are made with creamy milk and real fruit. They are a great treat while also NOT ruining my attempts to get healthy and lose weight!
It might not seem dramatic but taking those 20 minutes to enjoy life – and a Fruttare bar – helped me clear my head. I need to remember to do it more often!
Fruttare Frozen Fruit Bars are available at retailers nationwide. For more information on Fruttare Fruit Bars, please visit FruttareFruitBars.com.
