I love s’mores! Marshmallows? Not so much. But something magical happens when you roast a marshmallow and put it with graham crackers and chocolate. It’s pure heaven. So after creating an indoor s’mores treat for my husband, I decided why not give a little bit of heaven to others, too! In my very biased opinion, almost everyone would love getting one of these cute S’mores gift ideas for Valentine’s Day or any random day of the year.
How nice would it be to drop a set of these off at school for teachers or to the library for their volunteers? There are so many wonderful people in the word and spreading a little s’more love is never a bad thing!
This is one of my goals for the year. Life get’s so busy sometimes that we forget about giving back to the community or offering a random act of kindness to a stranger. Or, as it was for me, I moved to an unfamiliar place and wasn’t quite sure where to begin. I don’t want to forget this year. Do you have a favorite place to volunteer or a way you like to give back? I think my first place to try is the library down the street!
I bundled enough ingredients for two s’mores in each mason jar and created two different tags that you can download for free: “I love you s’more than anyone” and “I need s’more friends like you.” I punched a little hole in the tag and wrapped Baker’s Twine around the lid for some color and through the tag’s hole to secure. Easy peasy!
Note: The graham crackers were a snug fit for the mason jars. Make sure to slide them in 1 at time.
If you are feeling really adventurous (and know the recipient will be safe with fire), you could package these up different and also give everyone the ability to have indoor s’mores by including a cook safe Sterno can!
Now – to the important question – Milk Chocolate or DARK Chocolate on your S’mores?
I’m all about the dark chocolate!
