Who is excited for PAN to come out today?! Is anyone heading to the theaters this weekend to see it? We are shipping out tomorrow – literally – on our cruise, so we’ll be waiting until we get back but I’m definitely excited to check it out. While I know it’s a very different take, I am hooked on Neverland. (pun intended) Bryan actually counted the number of Tinker Bells on our Christmas tree last year. It was over 5! It’s not just the Disney movie though; I love the book, the play, Finding Neverland, and definitely HOOK, too.

I bet there was a moment that you wished you didn’t have to grow up or, better yet, wish you could go back to being a kid. Sometimes being an adult is just hard. It’s a message that resonates with all of us. That and the desire to fly!

To celebrate Pan today, I decided to honor the Neverland Pirates and make a fun Pirates Treasure Popcorn Mix! It is so easy to make a dessert popcorn with melted white chocolate, and I love the fun Neverland touches tossed in. First, I found these awesome Crocodile Gummy Candy. These are hand down my favorite item in this popcorn. Poor Captain Hook!

I have also included black M&Ms, Swedish Fish, Gold Foiled Chocolate Coins (added just to the top of the popcorn box) and grey hooks made from Wilton’s Gum Paste.

Working with gum paste is super easy. I took a small piece of the gum paste from the bag, added a little dab of black food coloring, and kneaded it around until the color is distributed. Then, I rolled it into thin tubes on a cutting board and eventually shaped them into hooks and let them dry.
