Taking Time to #SipJoyfully and Get Back to my Passions!
I realized the other day that life had really just become a string of to-do lists. There were things that needed to be done for work, things that needed to be done to settle into our new apartment more, things that needed to be done because – adulting, and things that definitely needed to be done before our son decides to make his arrival. At 8 months pregnant, I was – okay, am – just feeling run down and exhausted by these to do lists. I lost a little bit of the joy of the whole experience so I decided something needed to change. While I can’t simply forget about the items on our to-do lists, I can set aside time for myself. In just a few short weeks, time for myself or time just the two of us is going to get a lot harder so I want to take advantage of this time while I can. I want to enjoy being pregnant and feeling his not so little kicks. I want to enjoy time as just husband and wife. I want to be more than my to-do list. I decided to take an afternoon to myself, brew myself a cup of Tazo® Passion® Tea, and pick up our DIY Anniversary Journal again. We started one a few years ago in a simple notebook with the intention of writing down the most important things that had happened that year, trips we took, special memories, etc. It is so easy to forget those kinds of things and have them all blend together, so we thought having something to fill in every year would help us avoid that. However, I never really loved it. As a past scrapbooker, I wanted something that was prettier than a notebook with slots for photos and for writing our memories and tidbits. I think I found it! I picked up the supplies earlier this summer and finally got to work on it. Once done, I promise I will share the whole project with you all. It’s also serving as a test run for a baby book, too. It was so fun to enjoy an afternoon doing something I love while also getting to #SipJoyfully on something I love. Corny, I know, but it is the little moments in life that this that make me feel content and whole. I’m pretty sure there is a Tazo® Tea blend for every part of your day and every activity. So many people think of tea as just a way to start your morning and end your night, but I disagree.
Passion is definitely my go to blend for working on crafting projects. It’s an herbal infusion of hibiscus, orange peel, rose hips, and passion fruit flavors. It has just enough sweetness to feel like an afternoon treat and it definitely makes me feel energized without any added caffeine to my day. Plus, it’s just so pretty! Tazo Zen™ is my preferred tea when I am settling down to a long stretch of computer work. It’s a blend of green tea with lemongrass and spearmint, which makes me feel more awake and alert. Just what I need for my long lists of job tasks. Tazo Awake™ English Breakfast is a bold black tea that will invigorate your day. My new favorite for fall though? If you guessed pumpkin, you would be right. Tazo Chai Pumpkin Spice is a bold blend of black tea with classic chai & pumpkin pie spices. It’s so tasty and the first tea bag I’m reaching for if I’m getting a little fall chill. Whichever blend you decide, Tazo teas are made with some of the finest quality tea leaves, spices and botanicals in order to create blends that are always vibrantly delicious. Make sure you head over to the Tazo website so you can find your preferred blends near you. Which blend do you want to #SipJoyfully?!
