Last year, Laura Kelly asked me to participate in a fun Halloween favor box blog hop! It’s so fun to get a box of goodies and have to create something new. I created my Mummy Popcorn Box which is currently hanging out with my Sweet Monster Mash Jars. They get along really well!
THEN, Laura sent me another popcorn box again for Halloween, and I am really excited to share with you my Frankenstein Monster Popcorn Box.
I love these little guys because party decor and favor boxes don’t need to be expensive. Buy a bunch of inexpensive popcorn boxes {plus some paint, paper and buttons} and you are inexpensively on your way to awesome decorations!!
Here is how you make this little guy – it’s super easy!
MATERIALS
- Popcorn Box
- Acrylic Craft Paint
- Paint brush or sponge
- Buttons or other materials for eyes
- Black Paper
- Taffy Glue, Hot glue, or another glue of choice
FAVOR BOX TUTORIAL
- Paint your favor box in your desired color of green. Then, let it dry.
- Choose your desired eye color. I used black and yellow buttons from Laura Kelly. To put them together, I used Taffy glue but you could also use hot glue or super glue.
- When the paint had dried, I used the Taffy glue to attach the eyes onto the box. I hadn’t purposely glued the eyes askew, but I sat the box up too soon. I LOVE the result though.
- Cut out the neck plugs, mouth and hair out of black paper. Glue onto the box!
- ENJOY!!
I’m not the only one making fun Halloween favor boxes, either! You will be able to see them all at the bottom of this post.
