A simple yet flavorful Ocean Water Blue Punch! This large batch punch recipe is the perfect addition to any blue colored parties, such as a summer shark party!
OCEAN WATER BLUE PUNCH IS THE PERFECT SHARK PARTY DRINK!
While I am the gal who often wants to put lots of beverage options out on the counter during a party because I want people to find something they will love, I am also the gal who wants easy and economical choices, too!
I blame the former part of my personality on my mom. She was always the over buyer and over cooker for parties because she wanted to be the ultimate host, something I also strive for.
However, my wallet doesn’t always want me to strive for it! Making a large batch punch is a really easy and economical choice for serving a large group of people.
Plus, it adds the perfect pop of color to my party decor which I’m also a fan of.
When I was planning my Shark Party, I knew I wanted to create an aqua blue punch that would look amazing with all the ocean themed decor.
Creating a blue punch just seemed like the obvious choice and then I named it “Ocean Water” for all the kiddos. It was fun, easy and tasty!
HOW TO MAKE OCEAN WATER BLUE PUNCH?
Making this aqua blue punch is super easy! I went with classic punch ingredients that could simply be mixed together with a quick stir and served over ice.
OCEAN WATER PUNCH INGREDIENTS:
- 1 packet KoolAid Blue Raspberry Lemonade
- 1 Liter of Lemonade
- 1 Liter of Sprite or another Lemon Lime Soda
Wanting to make a larger batch. Simply double the recipe or more as needed.
OCEAN WATER PUNCH DIRECTIONS:
- Add everything together in a large punch container and stir.
- Include swedish fish or other gummy fish if you want a fun addition to the punch that the kids will love!
- Serve over ice!
CAN I MAKE THIS AN ALCOHOLIC BLUE PUNCH FOR THE ADULTS?
Absolutely! Kool-Aid alcoholic punches are delicious and super easy to make in large batches!
I have two suggestions for adding liquor to this punch recipe. The first is playing up more the blue raspberry lemonade aspect and the second is making it more a tropical jungle juice punch.
- Add two cups of vodka to the recipe as written.
- Add 1 cup of coconut rum, 1 cup of tequila, and 1/2 a cup of Everclear (optional).
SERVING THIS BLUE RASPBERRY PUNCH:
The easiest way to serve a punch like this for a party is in a large punch container.
I know it’s a pain to sometimes have one more kitchen gadget in the house but it will save you on messes and having to use lots of little pitchers.
IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF ONE, HERE ARE MY FAVORITE PUNCH DISPENSERS!
LARGE PUNCH DISPENSER: This one holds 3.5 gallons, comes with a removable ice cone, and says it’s unbreakable! From my experience, this plastic container really can take a beating. If you host large parties, this one is for you!
When making this punch recipe, you can make at least 6 servings to fit into this dispenser.
PRETTY PUNCH DISPENSER: If you want something a little prettier for your party table, this is a dispenser I love. Shaped like a mason jar, it is made of glass, comes with a sturdy metal base, has a stainless steel spigot and comes with a chalkboard sign.
YOU’RE ONLY A FEW MINUTES AWAY FROM THIS LARGE BATCH BLUE PUNCH!

Hi! I’m looking to make this for my sons birthday party and I was just wondering what the packet of Koolaid is. How big and is it add sugar or what? Lol. Sorry there are just a few different things I could get that are Koolaid. I was hoping the ‘just add water’ stuff would work! Thank you!

I used the traditional packet size which I believe is .14 oz and used the flavor of Blue Raspberry Lemonade. I personally did not add sugar. The recipe is above in the post.
