Happy Small Business Saturday!! I have always believed in supporting small and local businesses. I was lucky enough to grow up in Geneva, Illinois, with a historic and vibrant downtown area with antique shops, boutiques, one-of-a-kind stores, and fabulous local restaurants. I live in one of the greatest cities, and Geneva is still my favorite place to shop and eat. Supporting small and local business has become even more important to me this year as I am now a small business owner myself.
As some of you probably know, I opened an Etsy shop a few months ago. I try not to discuss my shop too often on the blog because this blog was not created for a sales pitch. On Small Business Saturday though, I thought you would all indulge me as I share some of the items I sell on my shop. I will be sharing items on Facebook as well for the rest of the day – both from my shop as well as my favorite other shops! While I love Target and other great stores, my goal this year is for 50% of my gifts to be handmade or bought from small businesses. Help me supp
Everything I put in the store are unique, customizable items that usually begin as a gift I made for someone I care about. There are lots of family centered items like family trees and name art. There are also great gifts for baby or kid rooms like framed art to match their room decor or decorated letters for their name. So far, the name art and personalized toasting flutes and wine glasses have been my most sold items. You can find all the items on my shop HERE!
