I know that Fall doesn’t technically start until next week, but does anyone really follow along with those cut offs. This past week it has been in the 50s and 60s which means I have worn socks at home, drank a hot cup of tea to warm up, put on a sweatshirt and strongly – and I mean strongly – contemplated puling out my tall boots. Add all these things up and you reach the conclusion that it is fall in Chicago. At least for my standards.
I really wanted to start decorating but just wasn’t feeling Halloween in September, so I decided to go with a Fall Harvest theme this year. While I will definitely go into further details with all of you about the individual projects that I made, I wanted to give you a quick overall look! My favorite piece is the corn kernel vase filler. It is super easy, but I just love the overall look!
Since it is quick look and there will be more detailed shots later, I’ll be honest – I embraced my stained glass window. I don’t usually photograph my seasonal pieces for you in their actual “home” because it sits right next to this big beautiful but pain-in-my-pictrure-taking-butt stained glass window! It wreaks havoc on photography but it’s part of the special feel to our apartment, so I wanted to share it with all of you today despite it casting purple, yellow and blue shades over my crafting.
See those 4 ombre-ish blocks on the left side of the table? I was originally going to paint FALL onto them but then I made that sign behind it. So, what do you think? Should I leave them blank or should I paint something else on it? I want your input!!
