After visiting the Chicago Baby Show and checking our over 100 different pregnancy, baby, kid, and family brands, I’m sharing some of my favorite products from the show!
Five of my Current Favorite Baby Items!
Two weeks ago, The Love Nerds went to the Chicago Baby Show at Navy Pier! It was a fun opportunity for us to head downtown into the city with Liam, explore Navy Pier and, of course, check out some new fun kid and baby items!
There were over 100 brands at the Chicago Baby Show showing off their pregnancy, baby, kid or family items and services. Many of my already favorite baby brands were there, including Oxo Tot, Aquaphor, Fridababy, and Moby to name a few. I loved seeing what these brands are up to now, and Fridababy has a new item that I immediately ordered that I’m telling you about below. Then, I found some new brands that I am super excited about.
So here I am, sharing a few of my favorite baby items that I saw at the Chicago Baby Show!
UPPAbaby VISTA STROLLER
We currently have a jogging stroller that we love for Liam and does get a lot of use as a jogger. I was originally worried when we bought it that Bryan might not actually go running with him but he does often and it’s been worth every penny. However, it is only a single stroller, and I do love the idea of a stroller that is versatile when we decide to add more kids to the family.
The UPPAbaby Vista is definitely my top pick for versatility. It’s gorgeous, easy to use, and stands on it’s own when closed which I love! But most importantly, it can fit up to 3 children. There is a gorgeous bassinet that is perfect for infants which can fit with another bassinet if you are having twins or with the toddler seat. Seats can face forward or toward parent, and a PiggyBack board can be added to the back for older kids. You can check out all the UPPAbaby Vista multiple configurations on their site!
We were already big fans of Fridababy, especially the NoseFrida that they are probably best known for. Now I’m excited about the SmileFrida! It has a curved toothbrush head which means it’s brushing the whole tooth at the same time instead of one side at a time. Anyone who has spent time brushing toddler’s teeth know that you don’t always have a lot of time so you want to make every second count!
My fabric Moby Wrap was my absolute favorite way to wear Liam for the first year. I’m someone who struggles with back pain, but I wore him for a week in Disney world when he was a couple months old without any discomfort. That’s pretty amazing for me! When we add more kids to the mix, I want to buy a pretty new wrap! Mine was just a gray Moby which was really versatile, but they have such gorgeous new patterns to choose from!
We were gifted a free baby carrier that Bryan preferred over the Moby wrap, but it had a short life. A baby carrier that can be used with a toddler has been on our wish list for awhile and would have been super helpful, actually, at the Chicago Baby Show. I was so excited to see a large booth for LilleBaby at the show because it’s been one of my top contenders and we got to try them on. I’m in love!
The All Seasons Carrier is a really versatile baby carrier with 4 ergonomic carrying positions. However, I think my favorite might be the SeatMe All Seasons with 6 carrying positions as well as a padded shelf seat that can be added and removed for more stability with older kids. Remove the seat to turn it into the classic All Seasons carrier or use the seat independently to give some extra support while holding your child on your hip, for example. Both carriers work up to 45 lb.
PETUNIA PICKLE BOTTOM
Finding the perfect diaper bag is almost impossible, so sometimes you just need to go with your gut and pick one that will make you happy when you look at it. Enter this Disney collaboration bag of Mickey and Minnie with Petunia Pickle Bottom! It makes this nerd’s heart very happy while also having key features I need in a diaper bag: backpack straps, big roomy space, diaper changing station that is removable so it can be washed, and bottle sized side pockets.
