Any day with a cool glass of cold brewed coffee is a good day, so I’m sharing how to make cold brewed coffee and how to make a delicious non-alcoholic Irish Cream Cold Brew Coffee Recipe in only a couple minutes! It’s an Irish Cream coffee recipe that will rival any coffee shop for a fraction of the cost and can be enjoyed any time.
Something strange happened after having Liam – I got turned off of hot coffee. I will drink it if it’s the only option because I need my caffeine, but I just prefer cold coffee so I started making iced coffee at home. It was a little bit of a pain though and always ended with watery coffee because hot coffee poured over ice leads to melted ice. Not anymore! Dunkin’ Donuts® Original Cold Brew Coffee is the perfect solution, and Irish Cream Cold Brew Coffee is delicious!
So what is cold brew? It’s not just regular coffee, cold, which I admit is what I thought it was when I first heard about it. To make cold brew coffee, you have to steep coffee beans in cold water for 8-12 hours to slowly pull out all the flavor from the beans into the coffee. The result is a really smooth, flavorful coffee. It’s my new favorite way to drink coffee!
Creating your own your cold brew coffee recipes is easy with plenty of fun coffee creamer flavors around, but I think the International Delight Irish Cream Coffee Creamer is my favorite so I’m sharing my recipe for Irish Cream Crème Cold Brew Coffee below! It takes me only a minute to make this simple cold brew coffee recipe, especially since the coffee is just poured from a pitcher in the fridge, but it feels like a specialty coffee shop drink that I can make everyday at home (without the added coffee shop price).
Important to note that this is a non-alcoholic Irish Cream coffee recipe so you can enjoy it whenever and however you want. Well, as long as you have a pitcher of cold brew ready to go in your fridge like I do!
I think what I love the most about creating cold brew coffee recipes is that I don’t need any added sugar to my drink. The cold brew is so smooth that the creamer adds the only flavor and sweetness I need to enjoy! That is not the case when I make a regular cup of coffee.
You can find Dunkin’ Donuts Original Cold Brew (DD 8.4 OZ. COLD BREW) in the coffee aisle at Meijer. Make sure to pick up a box on your next shopping trip with the MPerks deal and get brewing!
How to Make Cold Brewed Coffee with Dunkin’ Donuts Cold Brew Coffee Packs:
- Add 4 cups of water and 2 coffee packs to a 2 quart pitcher
- Steep in fridge for 8-12 hours. I usually let it steep over night.
- Remove the coffee packs then add 3 cups of cold water to pitcher. It’s now ready to enjoy!
NOTE: The amount of cold water you add to the pitcher after steeping will affect how strong your cold brew is. I like the 3 cups with creamer added as in the recipe below. If I were drinking it without heavy creamer, I prefer 4 cups of cold water added.
How Much Coffee Does One Pitcher of Dunkin’ Donuts Cold Brew Coffee Pack Make:
1 pitcher with the amount of water above will make 6 8oz cups. If you make your coffee with creamer like in my recipe below or with additional water, you will get more longevity from your pitcher. Plus, it can stay in your fridge for up to a week!
Time to Start Enjoying Your Cold Glass of Irish Cream Coffee – Cold Brewed that is!
