I started The Love Nerds a couple of months ago when I was on medical leave. It is a way for my to share the projects I do at home – the crafts I love. It is also my first step toward starting an Etsy shop and an event planning business. Working on creative projects like weddings, showers, invitations and cards, or the projects I have shared with you bring me a true sense of satisfaction that many people don’t necessarily understand. But I am happy when crafting.

I am currently back at work for the next 6 weeks so I will be a tad quiet. I will be at it again though in the summer and cannot wait. I love being a part of the online crafting world.

I have also found out that I won’t be going back to teaching in the fall. For one, my school cut my .8 part time position. However, it was something I had already begun thinking about. My migraines this year (why I went on medical leave) seems to be closely tied to aspects of my current job: stress, florescent lighting, an hour commute in Chicago traffic, stress. I value my health and personal life more than my teaching career. So there are many new adventures and decisions ahead, most of which I will chronicle on this blog.

And all would be impossible without my husband who is incredibly supportive. He encourages me to pursue my dreams and a job that will allow me to be healthy and energizes. I am so lucky to have him and so many wonderful friends and family. Love is truly all I need.

I hope your migraines get better. This is such a great sign. Living in the Boston area, I needed this sign this week… Thanks for sharing at Silver Pennies Sundays.

Thanks, Danielle! I think summer will definitely help with my migraines. I am glad the sign could offer any little bright spot. It was such a hard week all over the country, and especially in Boston. I am glad you are safe!

My migraines subsided when I stopped working a very stressful job, I wish the same for you.

Also, thanks so much for stopping by and linking up with the Whip It Up Wednesday linky party! Hope to see you again soon!

Thank you so much, Abbi! I started following you back and am hoping to have a little time this week to peruse your blog. I am also going to go link up today to your Sunday party. Thanks, again!

Abbi – I went to link up but didn’t find a party. I am not sure if I looked in the wrong place. I would love for you to share the link if I missed it in my Monday fog.
