I was roaming around Joann the other day looking at ideas and materials, and I stumbled upon these Halloween cupcake holders. As cupcake holders, I think they are very cute and would be an awesome addition to any Halloween tablescape. I might end up using them for their intended purpose, but that is not the first idea that popped in my head. What did? Candles.
These spiders looked like the perfect size for my large tea lights, and i was right!! I decided to wrap four of the tea lights in an orange Washi tape that I purchased a while ago from Pick Your Plum and placed them in the spider holders. I bought the candle holders with a 50% off coupon, which brings them down to about $5; they are made of metal which is great for future use in the years to come. I gave the tea lights a little facelift so the cost there is minimal as well. Overall, this project cost under $10 and will get used again next year.
They are currently sitting on a table with some other pumpkins, and I love them! I think their re-purposed use is better than the intended use because I get to see them every day instead of one day for party decoration.
