I am all about finding meaningful and fun ways to connect with my husband at home because, let’s be honest, we don’t all have the budget to go out all the time. So I created this Cuddle Kit which is perfect for cold winter nights! One of the things I created and included in this Cuddle Kit was a game I call The Not-So Newlywed Game!
I created a list of questions similar to what you would find on the traditional newlywed game, like “Who made the first move?” or “What’s your spouse’s favorite food?”. I also included questions designed for more committed couples, specifically couple’s who live together – like “Who would your spouse would say does most of the housework?” (In case you are wondering about that last one, it’s me!)
The best part of the game is that it’s just meant to be a conversation starter. So often we talk about the same every day life things that it’s nice to have questions to spark different ideas and topics. We had a lot of fun talking about what day of our marriage is our favorite besides our wedding (we both picked two different days during our honeymoon) and we got a good laugh from talking about the worst gift we ever got from the other (in the beginning, my husband gave me frozen pizzas for my birthday, which were a replacement for the ones he stole out of my fridge the week before).
Here is your FREE copy of the The Not-So Newlywed Game! I printed it out on card stock for some durability and cut them all out into strips. Easy peasy! Plus, you might like my Couples Scattergories game!
