If you follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter – etc – then you probably know that I worked my first official wedding this past weekend. The bride is a sweetheart that I knew from college. This wedding was a complete at home, backyard wedding at the couple’s newly bought home which required a lot of work from the happy couple, the wedding party, their families and me. Their yard was truly transformed; it was an amazing day! What you will see below is a quick peek at the wedding – quick snap shots that I took myself with a five minute break.
My favorite part that I put together has to be the place cards! All the floral arrangements were done by the bride’s aunt with wheat, lavender and white whole sale flowers. For the place cards, I added wheat to all with a special lavender touch to the bride and groom’s cards. I love how they turned out!
While in town, I had to swing by my old campus! My husband proposed to me at the very top of King Chapel which is the highest point for miles.

Maggie, you’re a creative genius! So beautiful and you didn’t break the bank, pulling together this most beautiful day for your friends. Good job with attention to detail. Love is in the air this time of year.
