Celebrate Gilmore Girls’ with a Stars Hallow Blueberry Shortcake Milkshake!
A few weeks ago I shared with you all a new-to-me milkshake recipe that I became obsessed with. Beyond just the milk and ice cream, you also add in a dessert like a cupcake to make a Red Velvet Milkshake or a blueberry shortcake for this Blueberry Shortcake Milkshake. Making milkshakes like this results in a fabulously thick, creamy milkshake with the flavor of your favorite desserts.
This Blueberry Shortcake Milkshake is perfect for all the Gilmore Girls’ revival watching that will be happening next week! I was inspired by Sookie’s Blueberry Shortcake, which is incredibly easy to make with my Easiest Shortcake Biscuits. You can be sipping on a tasty milkshake in no time at all for your viewing party!
I am literally counting down the days to Gilmore Girls! I’ve been enjoying some of my maternity leave time with Liam to binge watch the show again on Netflix. It is one of my favorite shows, so this definitely isn’t the first time I’ve gone through the show on Netflix. We will be in Wisconsin on the release day, so I am going to have to wait until we get back on Saturday. That 36 hours is going to slowly drive me insane, but I am ready to start watching the moment we walk in the door! After making my Blueberry Shortcake Milkshake that is!
- 1 of Sookie's Blueberry Shortcake Recipe
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup milk
Add the shortcake, ice cream, and milk into the blender and blend on highest setting until smooth, about one minute. Pour into glass and enjoy!
I’m so excited by the revival that I hope to have two more Gilmore Girls posts for you before it premiers. Well, that is as long as Liam cooperates with me! Finding a new balance with being a work at home mom has definitely been a transition, but I do love me some nerdy fun here on the blog! If you head over to my recipe for Sookie’s Blueberry Shortcake though, you can find other Gilmore Girls ideas by some of my blogging friends and you definitely don’t want to miss out on them!
