THESE ROLO PRETZEL BITES ARE OUR NEW FAVORITE CHRISTMAS CANDY!
This year, I realized I needed to add in more quick, Christmas candy type recipes versus cookies, cheesecake or larger desserts to our holiday menus. Candy recipes are usually quick to make which is always a bonus, and they work really well as shareable treats for holiday parties, offices or neighbor goody bags. I don’t know if you would technically call these Holiday Rolo Pretzel Bites Christmas candy, but they definitely fall meet my criteria!
Rolo pretzel sandwiches are the epitome of easy! They require only 4 ingredients and about 10 minutes of work. That is all it takes to get to a bite of salty, chocolate and caramel perfection!
The best part? They are a kid friendly cooking dessert. The first time I made these was during a niece sleepover, and they were happy to help me make them. They especially loves tossing the Christmas sprinkles on top of the Rolo pretzel bites.
So this holiday weekend, make sure to take your 10 minutes of prep time to make these Christmas Rolo Pretzel Bites, chill them, and then wrap them up in cute holiday packaging to share with your neighbors or friends. They will love them! It’s an easy way to share holiday cheer.
HOW TO MAKE HOLIDAY ROLO PRETZEL BITES
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Second, put a single layer of pretzel squares on your baking sheet and top with an unwrapped Rolo. Honestly, unwrapping the Rolos is probably the longest piece of work for this Christmas candy recipe. My suggestion is enlisting anyone you can to unwrap them for you; just be prepared to be short a few Rolos.
Third, place into oven and bake for around 3 minutes. Your Rolos should get shiny and soft.
Fourth, immediately top your pretzels and warmed Rolos with another pretzel square. Set the pan in the fridge to allow the pretzel sandwiches to cool.
If you are going to dip these Rolo pretzel bites, you will want to heat your candy melts or white chocolate in 30 second intervals in the microwave.
Once melted, dip your pretzel bites into the white chocolate and place back onto parchment paper to set.
Lastly, add your desired sprinkles on top of the white chocolate before it dries. I usually dip around 10 pretzel bites and then add sprinkles before continuing.
