Wanting a fun way to enjoy the fall flavors in the heat of September? Like apple cider all year long like me? Love boozy floats? Or maybe you just need an ideas on how to use up a bottle of Fireball Whisky?

If you answered yes to any of those, then this recipe for an Apple Cider and Fireball Float is for you!

Boozy ice cream floats is one of my favorite fun treats during the warmer weather. They’re a sweet, refreshing treat that is both cocktail and dessert.

I just don’t think it gets much better than a cold, adult ice cream treat!

Plus, it’s a great bridge recipe between summer heat and fall cravings. I start wanting spiced cider and pumpkin in July, but the recipes tend to gear toward cooler weather.

Not this recipe! AND not my recipe for an Iced Pumpkin Fireball Latte! They are both full of big fall flavors with the refreshing coolness you need for hot months.

INGREDIENTS FOR FIREBALL APPLE CIDER FLOAT

VANILLA ICE CREAM – Pick your favorite vanilla ice cream for a sweet, creamy float base!

FIREBALL WHISKY – Cinnamon whisky gives your float a spiced kick that screams fall! Plus it pairs perfectly with vanilla and apple!

APPLE CIDER – Choose your favorite apple cider or make your own.

CARAMEL SAUCE – A topping you definitely want if you like caramel at all. Because caramel makes any “apple” recipe better.

CINNAMON STICKS – This is a garnish but it makes the drink presentation pop!

HOW DO YOU MAKE AN APPLE CIDER FIREBALL FLOAT?

This is a super easy recipe that anyone can make! After you gather all of your ingredients, you are essentially just pouring them into a glass and enjoying.

First, you will add your ice cream to your glass. I suggest using a tall chilled glass as a chilled glass will help keep your float cold longer.

Then, pour in the Fireball Whisky.

Next, add in the apple cider.

Drizzle with caramel sauce and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

DRINK TIP: Use pre-chilled liquor or shake with ice in a cocktail shaker before adding to the serving glass. It will help the ice cream stay cold longer.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need Fireball Whisky for this recipe?

Yes! Fireball Whisky is very different from other whiskeys, known for it’s distinct cinnamon flavor and mild sweetness (at least relative to other whiskeys). It cannot be substitute equally for another liquor.

How much alcohol is in Apple Cider Fireball Float?

There is 1.5 ounces of Fireball whisky in this recipe which is added to 6 ounces of other liquid and a 1/2 cup of ice cream.

Does it matter what ice cream I use for a boozy float?

Nope! You can use whatever brand of ice cream you prefer. I do recommend using vanilla ice cream for this Fireball Float recipe because it pairs so well with the apple and cinnamon flavors, though trying something new is always fun!
